We will release the first single of the upcoming Kaizers Orchestra record Violeta Violeta Volume II tomorrow, Tuesday! It's called Tusen dråper regn ("A thousand drops of rain") and it might easily turn into the soundtrack for this summer 2011. At least if I look out of the kitchen window in Stavanger now... Anyway. You can hear it in the morning show on NRK P3, or buy it from Wimp or iTunes. The song should be pretty representative for what is coming. On Vol. II, there's more variation in the rock genre. This first song is a mid-tempo tractor song with three different parts. A classical Kaizers gypsy hook, an epic and dramatic verse, and in the end a kick ass chorus, which actually gives me the feeling of our heroes, the Dumdumboys, at their... yes, best!Enjoy.
